There are three types of people in the world; those that would never dare to pick up the mic, those who would pick it up without a second thought, and then those who daydream about garnering the courage to go center stage. One thing stopping the daydreamers is simply anxiety;  those nagging voices that tell them they will never be good enough to even get the chance to be heard. The beauty of karaoke lies in its ability to convert the self-deprecating daydreamers into fun-seek

Anna and I were discussing our goals for this year regarding Chaos Culture and since music is our most fluent language we decided to reflect and manifest our dreams in a format we know best-- a playlist full of bangers and bops. Each anthem corresponds to goals we plan on chasing. This is our way of organizing our beliefs so we can take action this 2026 while manifesting to the music.

The chorus is catchy and mesmerizing; a tune I often find myself humming or singing while out in public. The verses have a similarly catchy melody while the lyrics ever so perfectly scratch the nostalgia itch with callbacks to previous tour chaos, such as Jayden Seeley from the band With Confidence breaking the nose of As It Is bassist, Alistair Testo.

Six years is a long pause, and it had been six years since the original lineup hit the United States for a tour. All changed when the freshly reunited band announced their tenth US tour and first run with the original lineup since 2019’s US The Great Depression Run. Starting with Boston and ending with the Orlando revival of Vans Warped Tour, As It Is toured the East Coast with support from Cherie Amour and Bearings.
