Manifestation Through Music: 26 for 2026

As a good friend once reminded me, "Belief. Action. Manifest." As 2025 has exited the chat and 2026 makes its stark presence numerous people use this transition period to focus on bettering themselves for the current calendar year. Some journal resolutions; making plans for each month to come. Some people go the visual route; creating vision boards with Pinterest and magazine cutouts. Others create playlists; a mixtape for manifestation and channeling positive energy. Then there are the people like myself; those who use multiple manifesting techniques to channel the energy we look for. Currently my iPhone lock screen is a Pinterest collage I made during Rosh Hashana, marking the Hebrew Year for 5786. Along with my vision board I often journal, listening to music as I write.
I literally have a playlist for everything. Using Spotify I have created a high pain playlist, anti-nausea playlist, Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome (POTS) playlist, a playlist for each Hebrew Month, etc. Anna and I were discussing our goals for this year regarding Chaos Culture and since music is our most fluent language we decided to reflect and manifest our dreams in a format we know best-- a playlist full of bangers and bops. Each anthem corresponds to goals we plan on chasing. This is our way of organizing our beliefs so we can take action this 2026 while manifesting to the music.

This year I want to focus my energy on finding myself, even if I end up losing my way on the journey. Anna and I have big dreams and a huge step towards our shared goals for this project is to bask in our self-confidence. Sometimes it is okay to have an ego. I plan on standing by the quality of my work, refusing to allow myself to listen to cynics and critics. On my left shoulder I have a lyric tattoo quoting the Set It Off song that carried me throughout high school. "Devour the cynics, dismiss the critics." It's about time I start dismissing the biggest critic (myself) and catching my dreams. I have that passion and drive, all I need is to crack my heart and find myself in me. We'll take it one step at a time, creating beautiful mayhem on the journey to self discovery. Everything else, like finding someone to take me to the moon with them, would be a fun side quest.

2026 is the Year of Self Care. Self care can have many meanings. From hitting up more shows to traveling more often, I am looking forward to making dreams come true. Chaos Culture is so important to me because this outlet helps with my mental health and I love sharing my friends' music. It would be cool to collaborate with more friends from the music industry this year. I want to get more into photography this year as well as exploring different forms of art.
